1: Your Music

You have to make sure the music you create is at the top. This means that you need to invest both time and money to deliver great quality music and quality recordings.

2: Your Finances

Know that no one is going to invest in you if you don’t invest in yourself first. Ask yourself: am I truly willing to do whatever it takes to achieve my goals? Make sure your priorities are right. And if you have to make some sacrifices such as not going to the restaurant or cinema as often as usual, not travelling for a year or finding a day job, then so be it! And remember that these sacrifices are temporary.

3: Your Fanbase

A successful music artist owes much to his fans. That’s why you should to take some time as often as possible to interact with your audience; create a bond with your fans and share with them.

4: Your Online Presence

Use social networks to share your music and latest news; to grow you fanbase; to retain your audience; to connect with your fans and pros; and much more.

You should also share your music on platforms such as SoundCloud or Spotify; create your own YouTube channel and use it to post your videos and some exclusive contents.

It is also necessary to have your own website for many reasons: click here to have more info.

5: Your Brand

Your brand, personal brand or creative identity is very important aspect and allows you to stand out from the crowd. Note: even if you create the most incredible music but don’t do anything about the visual side; you won’t get the results you want.

Be as creative for your brand than you are for your music. And know that I can help you create or develop your creative identity. Send me an e-mail at info@oh-sweetmadness.com for more info.

6: Your Promo

To get results, you have to take actions. When you release new music, be active! Build a strategy to promote your music before its release. You should start promoting your new music a short time before its release to create excitement for the event. Plus, you can contact certain persons to share the news: journalists, DJs, bloggers, influencers, etc.

7: Your Networking Skills

Networking is very important. So if you can take part in events and make partnerships, just do it! — as often as possible. You can also use social media and internet to connect with people.

8: Your Music Team

Success is a team effort. Every artist who inspires you has a team supporting him. Surround yourself with like-minded and talented people who understand your vision; have complimentary skills; who go in the same direction and who bring the best out of you.
